Swaddling Rx For New Hollywood Moms!

                      Helping Your Newborn Sleep!

Hollywood is experiencing a baby boom. Stars like Jessica Simpson,
Busy Phillips, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and Shakira are all new moms.
And if you're not a star, but a new mom as well, then you probably want
to know...Should I swaddle my newborn?
What is swaddling? Wrapping the baby up in a blanket or comforter,
so that the limbs are tightly restricted. It fell out of favor some time
ago, but it's making a comeback.

If you're a new mom and you want to swaddle, make sure to wrap his
or her arms close to their sides-with enough room for him or her to move
his or her legs and flex their hips. Swaddling the hips to tightly, may cause
future problems like arthritis pain.
And if you do choose to swaddle, it means less crying and
deeper sleep for the babies and the new parents.

So, the question is...will you or won't you swaddle?
If you choose to do it, ask your Dr. or Pediatrician or someone well
practiced in the art of Swaddling -on the proper way to do it.

Good Luck and Good Sleeping!
