The View's Food Rxs For Better Health!

                        Eat This For Better Health!

Hey, did you catch this morning's episode of "The View?"
It was all food related.
First up was chef Emeril Lagasse.

Emeril made a few different types of soups
and the butternut soup he made didn't go over too well with
Barbara Walters. Why? She said it had too much salt in it.
If this happens to you, add some salt and forget and then add
more, place a clean, peeled potato into the pot.
Allow the soup to cook, and then spoon out the potato and toss it.
The potato absorbs the salt and makes the soup edible.
Sticking to soups...Sheri Shepard revealed that Jenny McCarthy eats
soup every morning.

If you're a regular reader of this blog or our other blog, then you may have
read how a bowl of soup before a big meal can help slash your appetite.
A vegetable, broth based soup will expand in your stomach, filling you up
and making it difficult to pig out on eggs, hash browns and bagels or
on burgers and a big order of fries.
So, if you're struggling with weight and want to do something about it this
yr. try the Jenny McCarthy remedy... A bowl of soup before a meal.

Now on to Sheri. Ms. Shepard had chef Rocco Dispirito on as her special

guest, he helped Sheri and her husband (Sal) lose a combined 55 pounds.
How? Rocco takes favorite American comfort foods and gives them a
makeover, a makeover with less fat and calories.
Head to Amazon.com.the kindle store and type in Rocco Dispirito in

the search bar if you want to remake some of your favorite comfort foods
like Sheri and Sal.

And lastly, All of the hosts were present when they brought out a man who
wrote on a book on juicing. More specifically: Stars and their favorite
juices. One in particular was a favorite of actress Michelle Williams.
The juice: Some kale, a green apple or two and some Swiss Chard.
Swiss chard looks like a green that also has some red in it.
And one reason we should all be eating or drinking Swiss Chard (especially
women) it helps us build and maintain strong bones.
Let's face, aging is inevitable, but bone loss, fractured hips, wrists
and easily breakable bones are a major concern.
So, if you or a loved one wants to maintain strong bones, take the
advice of the guest on this morning's "The View" and start adding
more Swiss Chard to your diet.

That's it- Some food tips from the ladies from "The View!"
