That Seventies' Show Rx For A Longer Life!

Live Long Like Betty and Cloris!
Some of the younger readers of this post may be thinking,
that 70's show, with Ashton, Wilmer and Mila, I love it.

Sorry, wrong 70's show, the one we're referring to is the one
that actually took place in the 70's and it was called
"The Mary Tyler Moore show!"
A single gal struggling to make it in a big city.

One thing about the show that stood out, great cast members,
like Ted Knight, Ed Asner, Valerie Harper, Georgia Engle,
Betty White and Cloris Leachman.

And the thing that stands out even more, the 2 oldest stars of the
show are still working and in pretty good health.
Those 2 stars: Cloris Leachman and Betty White.

Ms. White is soon to be 93 and Ms. Leachman just turned 88.
Nothing unusual about that, but there is diet wise,  what is it?
Both follow diets that may be so unsimilar, yet they both
are still living productive lives.

Anti-aging is again in the news, just featured on 60 Minutes
about 3 weeks ago, and new research says that your blood
may play an important part in it, that's right, they (the researchers)
are taking the blood from young mice and injecting it into
the bodies of older mice and the results are nothing short of miraculous.
But, if you want to make it to 80, 90 or 100, perhaps Ms. White

or Ms. Leachman can help you.
a) Betty White-
According to costars, Ms.White still eats like she's 16.
Fruit pies, donuts, hot dogs and washed down sugary beverages.
But, Ms. White also donates time and money to animal
shelters, avoids gossips and still works. All of these things
also contribute to a long life. Now on to her costar.
b) Cloris Leachman-
Ms. Leachman became a vegetarian back about 50 yrs. ago.

But not just a regular vegetarian, she's a raw food advocate.
And researchers say eat about 60 or 70% of your fruits and
vegetables raw and you flood your body with antioxidants
that help prevent everything from diabetes to heart disease.

So, which star do you want to copy?
How about eating less meat, more vegetables (cooked and raw)
fruit, nuts, seeds, olive and coconut oil and having a slice of

pizza or a few cookies once a wk. or twice a wk.

That's it- More on anti-aging at a later time.

Hint: the male star who just turned 84 and is still acting
and directing, thanks to a diet similar to Ms. Leachmans'.
Who is it?

Good Luck!
